Overview
Rapid genomic sequencing is an evidence based intervention that has been shown to improve outcomes. However, routine use of this technology is hindered by knowledge gaps and implementation barriers. This presentation will address genomic testing, Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) implementation efforts and genomic medicine deployment methods.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Discuss clinical trial data demonstrating the clinical utility and breadth of detectable diseases through genomic testing.
  2. Identify factors likely to hinder or facilitate Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) implementation efforts.
  3. Describe methods used to identify benefit and harm in the deployment of genomic medicine.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
